Knight of the North 4.0.0 Released

Knight of the North is one of my oldest mods and was definitely an ambitious undertaking at the time I made it. To be honest it was a bit too ambitious for where my skillset was then. I’ve gotten several bug reports about it over the past year or so and upon opening the mod up to fix it I was honestly kinda shocked how poorly made it was. It worked, but it was glued together with duct tape an a dream. I decided instead of trying to continue band-aiding bugs as they came but I’d just bite the bullet and rebuilt the mod from scratch using all the knowledge I’ve learned since the initial release in 2021.

It took a lot of work and was quite annoying at times, but I’ve done just that. The mod is much cleaner and way more efficient. I’ve addressed all the bugs I’ve seen reported to me and I’ve ironed out any weirdness that was connected to my old approach on this mod.

There are not many new features that are visible to players, this is mostly a backend update. The biggest change is probably the inclusion of a 50% debuff on the Crusader’s Relics that will apply until you’ve reunited them all. This was added to prevent people from cheesing the Honor system by collecting all the Relics except for one (which prevented the Honor system from kickstarting).

Another smaller change is that after finishing the quest Stendarr’s Beacon will revert to its vanilla state. Hopefully this improves compatibility a bit.
